Its September and I’m settling back into the groove of Skule for one more year. Of course you all know what that means, right? Television shows are returning to bathe us in their electronic glow! I’m finding that I have a lot of shows that I want to watch this year, like Battlestar Galactica, Scrubs, Heroes, House, Lost, and SGA (among others). With such a high number of different shows to watch, I’m concerned that I will find it pretty difficult to keep track of what shows air when, to make sure that I stay up-to-date with each show and don’t miss any episodes. Here’s an example of what my TV listings page on my personal wiki looks like:

TV Listings on my pocketbook

Not very neat-and-tidy, is it? Nor is it easy to update as I have to add each show manually. Enter CAT, a TV listings calendar with many of the most popular current television shows. By signing up with this website, you can filter the calendar to include only the shows that you want to see. Once that’s done, you cand download the listings in iCal format. This calendar file is importable into your Google Calendar. As of yet, I have unfortunately been unable to find a way for the downloaded iCal file to contain listings past the end of the current month. I will post an update if I can figure out how to.

As an aside, here is a friendly pinback to someone else who found CAT and wanted to use it with Google Calendar.
