A while ago, I speculated on the possibility of a forthcoming live recording from Matthew Good. I’m a little late bringing you my overwhelming joy with this news, however we are indeed getting a Live At Massey Hall recording.
Basically, the release is going to go something like this:

I know that I haven’t been around much lately, but don’t worry, I’m working on a couple posts regarding A) my new apartment and B) my new M.A.Sc. position at UTIAS/SFL. In the meantime, I nearly fell off my chair watching this video:
I don’t know what they were dangling to make that cat come forward, [...]

I have lost faith in the human race. From the BBC:
A man on a Greyhound bus travelling across the Canadian Prairies has killed and decapitated a fellow passenger.
An eyewitness said the victim was stabbed 50 or 60 times by the man sitting next to him, who then severed his head with a large knife.

Recently, Matthew Good has been experimenting with some possible redesigns for his blog. In addition to a more artistic air, Mr. Good is attempting to bring more focus in the design to his musical endeavors. This includes a more prominent media player, recent del.icio.us links, and a notification area in the header:

The system uses what the company has termed a “membrane electrode assembly,” or MEA, to split water into Hydrogen and Oxygen through a “chemical reaction.” Well of course it’s [...]

I currently wear an old set of Oakley E-Wire 2.0 sunglasses. They are now five years old, not polarized, pretty scratched up, and losing integrity of the frame joints. As such, I am in the market for a new pair of sunglasses. I am looking for something that has a full frame, as opposed to [...]

I have always thoroughly enjoyed reading Bill Watterson’s Calvin & Hobbes. I find that Watterson — through Calvin — experiences the world in much the same way as myself, allowing me to connect with his characters on a much deeper level than most comics.
One aspect of this is Calvin’s incessant curiousity in the world around [...]

I have been in the process of sanitizing my (ever-growing) music collection. So far I have managed to sanitize 2762 songs in mp3, Vorbis, and FLAC formats, constituting roughly 8 days, 8 hours, and 50 minutes of music. For the past week in particular, I have been working on sanitizing the Nine Inch Nails discography, [...]
